When it is cold in other parts of the world, for example, in South America, the summer is in full swing, and people enjoy Christmas, trying to hide from the scorching sun. And after six months, the opposite is true: heat comes to us, and cold comes to South America, in some places it even snows. This is because the northern and southern hemispheres are differently illuminated by the Sun throughout the year due to the inclination of the earth's axis. When the temperature drops below zero degrees, all water bodies: streams, rivers, ponds, and puddles - are covered with a crust of ice.
In summer, sometimes pieces of ice fall from the sky. This is a city. Ice balls form when a very cold wind blows on the summer clouds.
How do we defend ourselves
Primitive people wrapped themselves in animal skins and hid in caves. When they learned to make fire, they began to bask at the fire. But today, winter is not scary! In the village everyone has stoves, and in the city the houses are connected to the central heating system.
Plants and animals
Nature is also preparing for winter. Plants drop leaves and “fall asleep”. Some animals hide in holes, carefully close the entrance and sleep for several months, others change the color of their fur coats to white, others fly away or go to warmer climes to wait out the winter there.
