The water in the creek is clear and clean. A small brook merrily runs forward, foaming and forming small cascades and "waterfalls" in which oxygen-rich water is full of life.
Dipper
If you're lucky, then in the creek you can find a bird that runs along the bottom and hunts for crustaceans, mollusks and aquatic insects. This is a dipper who learned to dive and hunt under water.
Dragonfly
One of the most graceful insects living near water bodies is dragonfly. It flies over the surface of the water very quickly and is capable of motionlessly hovering in the air, like a helicopter. Dragonfly larvae live at the bottom of the stream, where they can become easy prey for other aquatic insects and small fish.
Fish and crayfish
From time to time in the river you can see a fish that jumps out of the water, escaping from predators. It is much more difficult to notice crayfish: they live at the bottom and crawl out of the water at night.
